Mike Elder – Proprietor : A New Yorker transplanted to the South, Mike Elder’s dream for Eye Level Art is to create a progressive community centered around the creative forces in Charleston. No idea is too big or too out there for Mike, he enjoys taking chances and challenging the arts community.

Caroline Millard – Gallery Coordinator : A self proclaimed culture monger and lover of all things creative, Caroline came to the gallery in June 2009 after braving the wild world of freelance journalism and public relations in Charleston, SC. Her vision for Eye Level Art is to develop an arts oriented community of progressive individuals in the Holy City. When not at the gallery, she can be found prowling antique stores, doodling horses in the margins of her notebook and whipping up new ideas.

Bennett Goodman – Master Framer : Mix up a drink that’s one part carpentry, two parts artist, and a splash of mad scientist and you get a delicious concoction known as the Bennett Goodman. And it just so happens that this tall glass of creativeness is our custom picture framing department head. Having made his way through Virginia Commonwealth School of the Arts by means of picture framing BG brings his talents back to his home state and the low country. Check out EYE LEVEL ART FRAMING on Facebook to see some of his one of a kind work!!

Adam Parrott – Sound Engineer : Whether it’s banging out beats for Carey Ann Hearst and The Working Title, or keeping the blues alive with Lowcountry legend Shrimp City Slim, Adam Parrott has quickly made an impact as on the Charleston music scene and is not slowing down anytime soon. Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, he trained as an audio engineer at the Mr. Smalls Creative Life Support Center and Concert complex. There he drew inspiration from venue regulars Rusted Root, and Pittsburgh perspective legends Andy Warhol, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Girl Talk. As a member of the Eye Level Art team, he plans on consistantly advocating innovation and adventure for the masses.

Kelsey Chapman – Intern : Kelsey Chapman, an eager contributor with anything to do with the art world, creativity or passion, is gearing up to graduate from College of Charleston in Art Management and Art History. Kelsey enjoys spending her time reading fiction, watching films with dry humor and finger painting. An active participant in the thriving art scene in Charleston, Kelsey has a zest for life and most importantly, art. She comes from a family steeped in art, grandparents both fine artists, a fashion-designer sister and a sculptor mother yet she still wonders why she can’t master a basic stick figure. However, her appreciation and knowledge of art makes up for being an artist herself.

Caleigh Goold – Intern : Caleigh Goold, also known as CaleighBird, has lived in Charleston for most of her life and is now nearing graduation at the College of Charleston for Studio Art and Art History. When not out showing or enjoying art, she is happily elbow-deep in paint at her home studio. Caleigh is an admirer of lively music, an active imagination, and anything lime green.
