Oh the weather outside is frightful…

But the Spring Street Pop Up Shop is so delightful. You’ve got seven days left until Christmas, and Eye Level Art has just the perfect thing for everyone on your list. Here’s a few of our very favorite Pop Up Shop items.

1. Silver and Blue Sparkle Cocktail Frock

The perfect attire for New Years Eve parties, nights on the town or just jaunting around the house champagne flute in hand. We’re completely in love with this dress and how stunning it looks on. A size 6, it does run a bit small and fits more like a 4 in our opinion. $85

2. Vintage Apron

This delicate 1950s era handmade apron is so beautiful you might skip wearing it in the kitchen and just opt to wear it out. Charming pockets adorn this simply sweet item which is in immaculate condition. $30

3. Crocheted Donut & Retro Dishware

The donut looks good enough to eat, but we recommend you don’t. Rather treasure this whimsical work of art for many years to come. Also featured a yellow and white floral bread and butter plate (part of a partial set). Just peachy for your kitchen! Donut $100, Plate $8.

4. Headband by Magar Hatworks

Our well dressed canine sports a Magar Hatworks original. An elegant red felt flower with peacock feather sprouts will pull together your outfit for the holidays perfectly. $60.

5. The Big Lebowski Rosary

Hail the dude full of grace…a charming rosary inspired by the cult-classic The Big Lebowski crafted out of copper and glass beads. $75.

6. Face Jugs

These fellows’ faces certainly standout as they smirk at you from your shelf. Inspired by a long history of “face jugs” these are handmade locally and make for a great gift for someone with a sense of humor. Small Face Jug $160, Large Face Jug $180.

7. Antique Ostrich Feather Necklace

Created from a 100 year old Ostrich feather weighted on either side with silver, this stunning neck adornment will make you the talk of the party. Worn best by itself, this statement piece makes for one gift you might just want to keep for yourself. $162

See all these fantastic gifts at the Spring Street Pop Up Shop at the 103 Gallery. We’re open Monday through Friday noon – 7pm and Saturday noon – 11pm. CM

The Spring Street Pop Up Shop has finally popped up!

Champagne bottles popped last night at the opening soiree of the Spring Street Pop Up Shop at Eye Level Art last night. The Holy City’s hippest fashionistas flocked to the 103 Gallery to toast the holiday market, which features the most fabulous jewelry, furniture, vintage apparel, clothes, homemade soaps and other darling goods from the Holy City’s favorite local vendors.

Shoppers popped by the gallery throughout the evening, braving the cold for a first look at the Spring Street Pop Up Shop’s fun goods. Fashionista after fashionista strolled out the door carrying a shopping bag filled with clothes or other handmade gems, with some even stopping by our holiday sweater table to pick up a fantastically tacky 80s-style Santa-adorned knit, perfect for any Ugly Holiday Sweater party. By the end of the evening, one woman fell so in love with a vintage cream high-waisted A-line skirt from Lori Wyatt that she insisted on wearing it out!

The Spring Street Pop Up Shop runs through the end of the month, open daily from noon until 7pm. The shop stays open until 11pm on Saturdays for all the weekend shoppers eager to check out products from Cavortress Vintage Clothing, Lori Wyatt Vintage Clothing, Love Me Again Vintage Clothing, Jewels by Lindsay Margaret, Mamie Ruth Clothing and Jewelry, B.b. Vintage Inspired Children’s Clothing, Chelsea Miller Designs, Perla Anne Stationery and Designs, Parker-Sims Interiors, Clewis Reid, Magar Hatworks, Pottery by Jason Luck, Oberon Socks, Candyshop Vintage, Manufactur and Polyester Stella. – LR

Pop Up Shop Profile : Mamie Ruth

Take a stroll down memory lane with Mamie Ruth’s vintage-inspired jewelry and apparel. The nostalgic line, inspired by and named for designer Emily Bargeron’s hip grandmother, features eclectic and colorful accessories that highlight the apparel’s laid back, psychedelic vibe. Bargeron’s green designs utilize vintage fabrics, bedding and clothing, as opposed to mass-produced materials, successfully fusing vintage favorites with modern trends. This past March, Mamie Ruth was featured in the Emerging Designer Competition: Southeast at Charleston Fashion Week. Vintage lovers can purchase items from the line at the Spring Street Pop Up Shop at the 103 Gallery at 103 Spring Street beginning December 10. -LR
